"Curves Fashion Week- Bahamian Cruise"

Ok ladies summer is around the corner and what better way to celebrate than by treating yourself to an one week Bahamian cruise? I recently ran across this information via twitter and thought I would share it with you all. This four night vacation is all inclusive (except for transportation to the port) for under $500!!! I love everything about the caribbean, fashion, and celebrating curves, so that coupled with the awesome price is a win for me. You can check out the link  HERE for more information. Let me know what you ladies think, and if any of you will be going or not.

Happy Hump Day!!

"Shades of Grey"

Happy Monday loves. As you all know I am a serious clothes hoarder and I have been trying to make a conscience effort to shop from my closet. With that being said I am going to give my self a pat on the back for recreating this grey monochromatic look from items that I have had forever.
I bought these boots from Endless Shoes last summer. They were on sale for like $25 bucks. I pretty much had given up on the chance of ever wearing thigh highs, but the fashion Gods blessed me with a pair that actually fit comfortably. I am kicking myself for not ordering the black pair.
I paired them with grey tights, wide-brimmed hat, shawl, and a sweater dress. This dress is actually pencil length and falls below my knee, but I did a boot-legged hem with some fabric tape to create a mini. I didn't want to permanently change the length of the dress because I like wearing it both ways.
You can check out some of my other monochromatic looks HEREHERE, and HERE.

"Queen of Hearts"

On Sunday I wore this adorable heart print vintage dress that I found at the thrift store last year. I have so many amazing vintage dresses in my closet that I haven't even had the chance to wear.
I kept the accessories simple by pairing the dress with a skinny gold belt (also thrifted), my black Betsey Johnson platforms and my go to red purse.
There are so many options that I have when I wear this dress because of the different color hearts. I think next time I wear it I will definitely pull out the colors in the dress.
You made it half way through a short week...hang in there!

"Lilac and Leather"

So yeah, the 70 degree weather I have been enjoying is gone and has been substituted with cold and rain. Once the rain disappeared and we had cold temperatures but then around 2 o' clock  it will suddenly warm up to a comfortable 55-60 degrees.**heavy sigh**. On Friday this was the type of day we had, so I tried to get some wear out of my winter accessories that have been collecting dust by pulling out my favorite scarf and glove combination.
I found these gloves last year at my favorite consignment store and stumbled upon this scarf at H&M a couple of weeks ago on their clearance rack. I really wanted the color to pop, so I kept it simple with all black skinnies, sweater, and leather bomber.
I really wish they would've had this scarf left in other colors, I would've definitely added as many to my wardrobe as possible, It's so soft and warm.

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! xoxo

"Red Stripes.....Remixed"

So I finally was able to wear my favorite "candy cane" dress again.  You may remember it from a post I did a couple of months ago HERE. I have been racking my brain trying to figure out how I could wear the dress by dressing it down.
I ran across these shell toe Adidas in my closet that I have literally only wore twice ( I swear this clothes hoarding is going to end in 2013) **heavy sigh** and thought that they would be perfect to pull my casual out of my peplum dress. I added a denim jacket, gold vintage chain, and my custom Melody Eshani gold hoops.
As you can see from my OOTD post they are very much consistent with how this weather in Atlanta is. One week it's 40 degrees and the next weekend it is in the 70's.
So which look do you like the best? What are some other ways I can remix this dress for next time??

"Opera Length"

I love, love, love winter fashion accessories. Gloves, faux fur, wide- brimmed hats, capes, coats, boots, I live for it all. Unfortunately I do not get to wear a lot of my accessories because it rarely gets cold enough in Atlanta to do so. We have spurts of cold weather, so many of my favorite accessories don't even get taken out of my winter storage containers. Last weekend we had really cold, brisk temperatures,(this weekend it was 70 degrees,smh...I digress) so I was able to pull out a pair of my favorite gloves that I have been dying to wear.
I found these gloves about four years ago on clearance at Neiman Marcus :Last Call. I paired them with black riding pants, turtle neck, and a cape that I recently found for a ridiculously low price at Nordstrom Rack.
These boots were such a fashion blessing when I found them four years ago. As I mentioned before I have the hardest time finding boots that fit my calves, so needless to say I was overjoyed that these fit.
A special shout out to my homie Sam for braving the temperatures with me to get my shots. As you see the wind  this day was serious!
Happy Monday! xoxo

"Fancy Fridays-Blogger Inspiration"

I can bet that most of you ladies that follow my blog also follow Gabi from Gabifresh as well.  I admire Gabi for her confidence in being comfortable in her own skin and how she is making a killing in this blogger universe doing so. When I ran across her latest OOTD post it gave me inspiration to show my soft skin as well....LOL. I remember when she did her Fatkini post, I thought wow if only I had a mustard seed of this girls' confidence in a swimsuit, let alone a bikini. Anyways after seeing her post I decided to recreate my own version which I wore last Saturday when I went to a birthday dinner. Sometimes we all need pick me ups to remind ourselves that yes we are beautiful, flaws and all. I try to focus more on my attributes than the parts of my body I don't like. Yes I have huge legs, but I spin at least three times a week so they are rock solid, I have super chunky arms, but I have a great waistline and a  hour glass figure, I have a big forehead and nose, but awesome lips and breasts...LOL. My advice is to do the same, for the one thing that you find "wrong" with yourself find two that you love.

"Casual Days"

Typically on my "I don't feel like thinking about what I wanna wear" days I throw on tights, an over-sized shirt and my Uggs. On Sunday I decided to put forth a little more effort substitute my shirt for a blazer and I was able to finally wear a pair of boots that were gifted to me by Sears.

When it comes to buying boots for the winter I usually strike out because I am unable to find a decent pair that fit my calves, but I have to say I was impressed by this pair. Not only did they fit perfectly, they were EXTREMELY comfortable. Even with the slight wedge heel, I wore them all day while walking without any discomfort. I am wearing the taupe pair, but these Caley Boots come in black and  and are available for an awesome price on sale HERE.

"Sex in the City...in Houston"

Hey ladies. Here are the Houston pictures I captured with my friends last weekend. I wanted to share with you my OOTN pictures and other images that I captured. This trip was especially epic because the entire Sex in the City Crew hasn't been together collectively in about five years. We have seen each other separately but this was the first time the entire crew has been together. These girls are my heart and we have been friends for 16 years! We all love fashion and have our own unique styles, personality, and a friendship that is going on almost two decades...hence the name "Sex in the City"...LOL. We adopted the name about five years ago and trust me the characters truly match the ones in the movie. So without further adieu, my clique......
MIRANDA
My personality and style is very much Miranda. I am very strong minded ,business savy and funny.
CARRIE

Carrie is no other than my girl Eureka. She is the most daring out of the three of us when it comes to fashion. Her style and boldness truly inspires me. She is a beast when is come to hair and adding that extra funk on things. She is the one responsible for my long side braid above which I fell in love with. When it comes to natural hair she is the Messiah, I have nickname her the hair natzi...LOL. You can check out her style and hair blog HERE
Samantha

Sheila is Samantha because of her sexiness and witty sarcasm. She has such a sweet spirit, and is always the voice of reason. I love the heck outta this girl!!
Charlotte

Cindy is Charlotte because she is very conservative in all the ways that you can be conservative. She is also a very positive person who in the 16 years I have known her I can count on one hand how many times I have her sad. She is truly the strongest and most beautiful person I know.
A special shout out to Centerria and Shayla who drove to Houston with Sheila and Eureka. It was my first time meeting these ladies and they were both super sweet. They vibed with my girls and I perfectly. Until next time......

"Turban"

I don't know about you guys, but I feel my style is constantly changing. The good thing about this is my evolution of being able to try different looks, the negative side is I go to my closet to choose something to wear and have a difficult time because everything looks uninspiring to me. This is a casual outfit I put together when I was in Houston last weekend. I paired my black and white color block tights that I first wore HERE with a bright thrifted blazer, customized jewelry , color block metallic flats and my go to, no fuss with your hair, solution to a rainy, overcast Houston day turban.
My brother HATES when I wear my turban, and always has something smart to say when I post a picture on Instagram of Facebook with one on...LOL. This gold chain is another one of the great consignment finds I bought when I went home for Thanksgiving.
I love these metallic flats that I bought from Asos. Being my typical clothes hoarding self, I found them in the back of my closet unworn. I have had them for well over six months, but forgot I had them....SMH
Asos carries the best clutches. There are so many styles and they are so roomy. Perfect to carry all your neccesities including an emergency pair of flats. You may remember this clutch from my first post I did HERE.
So what about you ladies? Are you feeling head wraps, turbans, etc?

"B.I.G. Changes"

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and  your 2013 is starting of great. I spent the last three days in Houston hanging out with my best friends. I had a blast and can't wait to share my OOTD and OOTN pictures with you. If you follow me on Instagram you may have already seen some of the events and looks I documented this past weekend.
We all know that the beginning of the year is when we put our resolutions into action, and take advantage of the "fresh start" we are given. I have several small goals that I want to achieve this year, but the main thing I am focusing on is change; transformation of my heart and mind. I truly believe that if I can conquer this everything else has no choice but to change and fall into place.
My bestie snapped these pictures of me this weekend while we were shopping. I had been coveting this sweat shirt for about a month and finally broke down and purchased it last week. Isn't it the coolest?
