"Back to Life"

My life has been the speed of  a Japanese Bullet Train for the past month. Between managing my two businesses, moving, unpacking, and entertaining my mom and niece who are visiting from Utah, I have very little time for anything, so I apologize for the hiatus.
I am still living out of a suitcase with random articles of clothing that I threw in, however I did unpack all my shoes..*wink*. While doing so I ran across these platforms that I bought last summer.
I actually wore these earrings here, but because my hair was down I wasn't able to really show them off.
I am in L-O-V-E with my name plate necklace that I had custom made from Bauble Bar. I have been wanting one of these necklaces since Sex in the City first started and Carrie had one...LOL.
I know this post is a little picture heavy, but as you see the art work is truly AMAZING!!!
I am a work in progress when it comes to accepting my big legs, so in honor of the "thunder thighs" comment someone texted me yesterday, I decided to leave the picture up to show that yes I love ALL of me: my small waist, chunky arms, soft skin, big forehead, curvy hips, and YES even my rock solid thunder thighs..**flips hair**

"The Basics"

I don't think it gets more basic than a white oxford and khaki's. These two items are classics that 90% of us have in out closets, and the options on how to wear them both are endless. Since I am in the middle of moving and cleaning out my closet. I ran across both of these pieces and decided to combine them with some accessories for a casual basic look.
My photographer/friend Sam recently got a new french bulldog puppy name Caleb. He brought him by to meet the boys (Bubba and Brady), and because he is adorable I just couldn't resist taking pictures with him.
See look at his face.......
I added my Gucci hobo, necklace, brown frame glasses and Coach leopard print sneaks, and of course Caleb to accessorize my look.
I know it's is supposed to be "Fancy Fridays"", however I just moved so I am still unpacking and living out of a suitcase. I should be settled by this weekend and have my closet in order to create outfits. Please continue to send in your pictures and looks. =0)

"Coral Flow"

One of my favorite summer colors next to mint green is coral. Also lately I've been really drawn to dipped hem shirts and dresses. I wear this shirt all the time and really can't believe this is the first OOTD post I have done in this shirt.
I was able to finally wear this adorable necklace that I won on a giveaway from Ari at Good Time Girl Accessories . I also won two adorable pair of earrings that I also can't wait to wear and share with you guys.
Even though I wasn't in a heel mood I decided to go ahead and pull out these coral Betsey Johnson pumps that I first wore here. These shoes are so comfortable that I went ahead and purchased the black ones that I wore here.
The expression on my face is definitely consistent with how I  have been feeling lately. So much on my mind and super stressed=/. I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! Don't forget to send in your pictures for Fancy Fridays.

"Pastel Color Block"

I love color blocking and pastel colors, so when I ran across this shirt online it was a definite win.  I paired it with my oxfords and pastel jeans that I first wore here. Color blocking is by far one of my favorite trends that I will NEVER get tired of!

I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend. Mine is crazy busy as always, but even more hectic because I will be moving ***heavy sigh***.  Don't forget to send your pictures in for the "Fancy Friday"" posts that will begin on next week!

"Fancy Fridays"

I am starting a new feature on Fancy Curves called "Fancy Fridays" I got this idea from an awesome blogger that I recently started following named Eboni from The Fashionista Next Door. I have such great, fashionable, dedicated readers so I thought it would be an fantastic idea to get new fashion inspiration from who else.......YOU! Here's how it works:
  • Submit a picture of a look and I will recreate it.
  • The look can be one that you created ,something that you seen on a celebrity, a blogger, or it can be a random look that you've seen online or in a magazine.
  • Looks can be submitted throughout the week.
  • I will recreate the look and post them with the original look every Friday.
  • Please make sure you submit your name, info, and blog information (if applicable) so I can make sure to give you a shout out and reference who and where the look came from.
SECOND OPTION:
  • Choose one of my previous OOTD ( outfit of the day) looks and recreate it.
  • I will do a post featuring your picture and of the look that you recreated.

Please email all inquiries to fancycurves@gmail.com!

"Art"

Art is a word that is used to describe a diverse range of human activities and the products of those activities. With that being said I am constantly inspired from "art" not just in the form of fashion, but visual art, colors, and  environmental objects that God has created. The art that Melody Ehsani creates through her jewelry is awesome. I am so obsessed with my "Queen of the Jungle" earrings.
I'm a huge fan of graffiti and I am amazed at the talent these artists have. The ability to create such amazing pieces free style with no mistakes blows my mind.
I collect brooches and  think they are so classic. You can wear them with everything on any type of clothing (jackets, blouses, skirts, dresses) and even make them into necklaces.
Jeffery Campbell definitely creates awesome shoe art. I love all his shoes, but I don't wear these Lana platforms as much as I do my Lita's. They are so funky, but the platform is HUGE! This coupled with my size 10, makes me feel like Frankenstein so they just sit in my closet...LOL. I first broke them in here and here, but can count on one hand how many times I have wore these shoes.

"Floral Flow"

Ok so as we all know from the 100 plus degree temperatures that summer is officially here. During the summer I pretty much stick to any dress that is short, light, or flowy. I bought this dress last summer from Asos and love everything about it.
On this day I threw it on to run errands. It was perfect for the 102 degree heat. I paired it with my red ruffled shoulder bag that I first wore here, and a pair of sandals that my brother bought me for Christmas several years ago. He did a great job picking out this timeless piece.
So what are you ladies wearing to stay cool in this summer heat?

"Crazy Sexy Cool"

So it was my gay BFF/ spin teacher/ bestie's birthday last weekend and we kicked off Friday by going to Luxe Lounge to celebrate. I rarely hit the night life anymore, as a matter of fact the last time I put on a "freak em' dress" and went out was on my birthday three months ago. Anyways I finally got a chance to wear this adorable dress that I found on Asos about a month ago. I love the stripes, colors, and dipped hem. I wanted to show the back of the dress despite I have two buttons undone...SMH
I paired it with my Jeffery Campbell Night Walkers and neon purse that I featured here and here. I swear these are the greatest shoe ever made!
I believe when it comes to fashion there are no rules and the ones out there should be broken. So the "no horizontal stripes on a curvy girl" rule is the one I decided to break on this night *wink*
I swear Asos has is absolutely one of my favorite places to shop, second to the thrift store of course..LOL. What about you ladies, what are some of your favorite shopping websites or stores??
