Hey loves! We made it the end of another month. Spring is finally here (some days anyway), and I am loving the trends. March like February was a hectic month for me work wise. I am still overwhelmed trying to get my business organized and back in order, so I apologize for the inconsistent posting. I thank you for being patient with me, and I hope to get back on track this month.. Saturday is my birthday and I will be having a small dinner to celebrate. I am extremely blessed to celebrate another year in life, however it is bitter sweet because the one person that I spend all my birthdays with and want there the most won't be........
Anyways I am not even going to chase that EXTREMELY depressing, sad, emotional white rabbit. It's too heavy for me, so back to fashion... My favorite OOTD this month was definitely the double Rihanna jeans I wore in my post HERE
What was your favorite look?

"Basic"
My favorite way to dress up "basic" pieces in your wardrobe it by accessories and adding a pop of color or pattern. I am a huge fan of brooches so I decided to jazz up these simple high waisted black pants and button down with two of my favorite gold brooches.
For the pop of color I wore my multicolored Prabal Gurung heels, and since it's now spring I am giving my faithful black manicure a rest and pulling out some of my favorite hues. This "No Room for the Blues" by OPI is one of my absolute favorites.
I love being creative with my brooches by wearing them in non-traditional places on my clothing( as seen HERE and HERE) like on the waist of high waisted pants or skirt, on your sleeves, or on turbans or different hats.
I am sure like many of you, I LOVED the Prabal Gurung collection that he recently did for Target. Even though there were a couple pieces I wanted to add to my wardrobe, I opted on just getting the shoes because it seemed as though everybody in the blogsmosphere had the dress and shirt I wanted. It was complete over kill to me, so I quickly lost interest.
So how about you guys? How do you jazz up your basic looks?

"Phresh off the Runway"
Hey loves! I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. I spent the majority of my weekend catching up on work, cleaning and trying to organize my closets. A task that truly takes all my energy..ugh! So let's jump right into these jeans. As many of you may already know Rihanna recently teamed up with River Island and launched a clothing line. I was extremely excited because she has an amazing sense of style and I knew that the line would be a reflection of that.
I ran across a picture of Rihanna wearing her jeans on the red carpet of her clothing launch and they immediately gave me life. These double jeans are a funky combination of "mom jeans" and "boyfriend jeans"...LOL They are so comfortable and different; they are truly the most unique piece on her line.I paired mine with a graphic T and my dunks. The next time I wear them I am definitely going to dress them up with a cute top and heels.
There have definitely been mixed reviews on her line and these jeans. I think either you will love them or hate them. What do you ladies think? Are you feeling these jeans ?

"Two-Toned"
Hey loves. I hate to keep apologizing for my lack of posting, but once my mojo returns and my level of work calms down I will be back on my regular posting schedule I promise. The weather here is still very emotional, so yesterday I was able to wear my FAVORITE jacket when I met one of my dear friends for lunch. I paired it with black jeans, my go to Jeffery Campbell Litas and a patchwork newsboy cap.
This coat is my fashion testimony. I immediately fell in love with it when I first came out but since it was $398, it was completely out of my price range, so I waited and waited, and waited, and waited ( 3 months exactly) and then finally at the end of the winter season it went on sale at Dillards for $148 with an extra 60% off...YES LAWRD!!!!
See good things do come to those that wait:0)
Jacket: BCBG via Dillards
Jeans: Levi's
Shirt: Forever 21
Necklace: H&M
Hat: TJ Maxx (old)
Shoes: Jeffery Campbell

"Highlighter"
Happy Tuesday, I hope you all had a great weekend. Once again had bipolar weather here in Atlanta, temperatures were barely in the 40's annnnd we had snow flurries...smh. Anyway I got a chance to wear this adorable dress last weekend. Nasty Gal had a phenomenal sale a few weeks back where several items were 50-60% off. If you follow me on Instagram you might remember when I posted the items that I scored.
I paired the dress with my color block Betsey Johnson pumps that I first wore HERE, a leather bomber jacket and some gold chains.
I love gold costume jewelry as you probably have already noticed. I think this Uzi chain is one of my best consignment finds which I first wore HERE. I LOVE it, it totally reminds me of the one Tupac used to wear...LOL!!!!!

"Zing"
I don't know about you guys but I am definitely ready for spring and completely over this sporadic winter weather. I've had this dress since December but decided to wear it for the first time on Saturday. I was going to send it back because I wasn't feeling the length, but decided to go ahead and keep it because it was so comfortable and I loved the neon yellow color.
I paired it with my leather bomber jacket and my "Hell Raiser" flats that I purchased last year. My feet were still so tired from wearing these shoes Friday night that I really had no other choice than to wear something flat and comfortable.

I've never paid attention to those unwritten fashion rules. I will wear white all season long and as you see neon colors in winter.
So what about you guys? Are you stickler for the unwritten fashion rules, or do you march to the beat of your own drum?
