"Red"

I decided to do another monochromatic look with red. Usually it is not my choice of color, but lately I have been really into it, especially on my lips.
I combined my Steve Madden leopard pumps with a pair of wide legged slacks and red blouse that I thirifted quite some time ago.
I decided to wear my "Queen of the Jungle" earrings that I first wore HERE and HERE. I am in LOVE with both the necklace and earrings. They are both definitely staples in my wardrobe.
You can check out the other monochromatic looks I did HERE and HERE.

"Nostalgia"

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving weekend. I am still in Utah visiting my family. My week has been filled with catching up on sleep, hitting up my favorite consignment/vintage shops, visiting family and hanging out with my favorite little person in the whole wide world, my seven year old niece Daisha. (who by the way was my photographer.....LOL) I drove past my old high school yesterday (West High) and thought it would be cool to use it at my location to take pictures. While having dinner with my brother yesterday we had a deep conversation about the "butterfly effect". I am not sure if you have seen or remember the movie of the same title that came out some years ago with Ashton Kutcher where the premise of the movie was what would happen if you could go back in time and change things how different would your life be? What would be the outcome? It made me think back to all the things I've been through, my beginning, my trials, my successes, and my failures. I honestly can say that I wouldn't change a thing, and my life all the good and bad is what I am truly thankful for.
I found this awesome patchwork newsboy cap on Friday at one of my favorite consigment shops here called Consignment Circuit. I found some other amazing pieces that I can't wait to share with you. I have been super casual since I have been home wearing no make-up, tights, over sized shirts, so this cap was perfect to throw on so I wouldn't have to worry about my hair.

Again I wanna give a special shout out to my doll for being my photographer for the day!

"24 Karats"

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a more eventful weekend than I did...LOL. I pretty much worked all weekend, but on Sunday I did get a chance to catch up with old friends and wear this AMAZZZING maxi dress.
I
I am a huge fan of Folake from Style Pantry. I have been following her blog forever. She is a true inspiration to me on so many levels (fashion, business, blog, etc). I was beyond excited when she launched her own online store Shoxie because it meant it was another resource to find great fashion at affordable prices, and it was awesome to see my ultimate business goal manifest in someone else who had the same dream!

I almost had a heart attack when I saw her wearing this dress on her recent post and quickly did a cartwheel when I seen that it was available at her online store. I knew in my fashion spirit that this dress was going to sell out FAST so yes I did what ever fashion junkie does...pulled over from driving and ordered it on my phone (**confession I was doing a social media check while waiting at a traffic light**)....LOL

The dress doesn't need much, so I kept my accessories gold and simple. I wore my favorite Queen of the Jungle necklace by Melody Eshani, black Betsey Johnson pumps, and my initial studs.

The dress arrived in two days, and  as you see is everything I expected and more. I love the fit and the length. The only issue I had was I had to pin the top closed because I am busty, other that that perfection!
I am excited that Thanksgiving is Thursday and I am able to fly home to Salt Lake City to visit my family. I can't wait!!! You can also check out the other dress wore that was inspired by Style Panty HERE

"Fall"

So we have one more month of my favorite season and about a month and a half before the end of 2012. I can not believe how fast this year has gone by. I LOVE the fall season. The change in the weather, trees, wardrobes, nothing is better.

On Sunday I got a chance to wear one of the two favorite blazers in my wardrobe. It was made by a friend of mine named Nykki. She has an awesome eye for vintage clothing and sells some pretty amazing pieces. You can check out the two other pieces I bought from her HERE and HERE.

I paired the blazer with a pair of ripped jeans that I first wore HERE and HERE and my Jeffery Campbell Lanas
If you are interested in getting a blazer like this one, or in some of her other awesome vintage pieces you can contact Nykki HERE.

"Girls Night Out"

On Thursday I attended an event sponsored by Bebe and Lucky Magazine called "Girls Night Out". It was held at the Bebe store in Lenox mall and hosted by Eboni from The Fashionista Next Door. It was great to network with fellow Atlanta bloggers, socialize and of course shop the new holiday looks from Bebe.

I wore a pair of black and white color block tights, a cold shoulder blouse, my Obama earrings, and an amazzzzing brooch I found last week at the thrift store.
 The DJ was definitely jammin'!

It has been at least two years since I bought anything Bebe. To be honest their clothes are pretty much made for those who are in straight sizes and since I am a curvy size 12,  ninety percent of the clothes they carry don't work for me. I mainly purchased shoes from them but when I did shop, however ever since I met and fell madly in love with Jeffery (Campbell) there hasn't been any room in my shoe heart for anyone else......LOL
These three pieces caught my eye. The faux mink cape in the middle was my FAVORITE!!!!
See!!! When I put it on I fell deeper in love. I did exercise restraint and not purchase it, but since I went home and dreamed about it and all types of outfits to create with it, I figure it was a sign from the fashion Gods that it needed to be in my wardrobe. I immediately went online (HERE) and I was pleasantly surprised that it was $50 cheaper ANNNND I was able to get free shipping....SOLD!
How adorable does my boo NeShanta from Style is She look?

I had to snap a picture of this sales associate who coordinated with me so well....LOL.
I hope you all had a great weekend, If it was anything like mine it was super busy and went by way to fast!

"Victorian Black"

For church on Sunday I slipped back into my all black rut *sigh*. I could be because I didn't have the energy to put anything together or my mood, I don't know, but either way all black is the easiest way to solve your " I don't know what to put on" situation.

I pulled out this extreme puff sleeve Victorian tie neck blouse that I have had for years. I actually bought the white version of this shirt as well, but had to give it a proper burial because it turned into an off dingy white.

Ok let's talk about these new Steve Madden shoes I added to my collection. They truly are a perfect combination of fierceness!

I hope everyone's week is going by quickly. Words can not even express how happy I am that we will continue to move forward as a country for the next four years!!! You can check out some of my other all black looks here, hereand here

"Thrifted Colors"

As most of you already know I am an avid thrifter. Thrift and consignment stores are my absolute favorite places to shop, and is where I have found the flyest and  most unique pieces. If you were to take inventory of my closet you would see that 40 to 50% of my wardrobe is thrifted.
On Saturday I attended a fashion show with my boo NeShanta from Style is She. After a lot of back and forth I decided to wear this thrifted skirt and blouse that I found at Value Village about a month ago(for about six bucks by the way). If you follow me on Instagram you may remember when I shared the news about my amazing find that day.
I paired the skirt and shirt with my cobalt Jessica Simpson pumps and a belt that I thirfted awhile back that just happened to match perfectly.
You  can check out my thrifting post I did HERE, to find great tips on how to find treasures. So what about you guys, are you thumbs down or thumbs up when it comes to shopping at thrift stores??

"Fancy October Review"

I can not believe that it is already November, and that there are only two more months to 2012. October was a busy month for me, but I must say the highlight of the month was my trip to NYC. I had the most amazing time and can't wait to go on another vacay with my Sex in the City girls. Here is a collage of my OOTD post for October. This month I am so torn in choosing a favorite look because I have four...LOL. however if I was forced to choose I would pick my concert outfit with the baseball cap and half gloves.

So what do you ladies think, what was your favorite look?

BTW I am super excited because November is my blog's one year anniversary! **throws confetti** I will be hosting an great  giveaway this month to thank all of you for your wonderful support and love. This blog means a lot to me, it is not just a hobby for me, it's a passion. I unfortunately am not able to dedicate as much time to it as I would like because I run two other businesses, but trust in 2013 that will all change..;0)

xoxo
