"Born Day"

Today is my birthday, Yippee!!! I always make it a point to celebrate life on this day because I am truly grateful to see another year. Words can't even express how blessed I am. This year I will be  celebrating with my BFF's in Houston. The weekend will be filled with fun, shopping, food, spirits, pole dancing classes, dancing, shopping, laughing, picture taking, and shopping, LOL. I will have a lot of OOTD to post next week, I can't wait!

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!!

"Around the Way Girl"

Sam and I are always looking for funky locations to shoot, so we lucked up on this furniture store in midtown. The graffiti on the buildings is amazing!
I really didn't want to take anything away from the beautiful art work so I went with an "all black everything" look with my checkered blue and black Vans. I swear these are the most comfortable shoes ever next to my Uggs of course.
I have so many new followers, so I want to say hello and thank you for following and supporting my blog! I truly appreciate all of the love! xoxo

"1980's Vintage"

I had a busy weekend and the upcoming week will be even busier. Lots of work, coupled with preparing for my birthday trip on Friday really has me wondering how in the heck I am going to make it through this week. Anyway I went to Augusta on Saturday to see Steve Harvey and snapped a quick picture of what I wore. I found this dress at my favorite consignment store here in Atlanta. This dress is very bold different, and I got a lot of "side eyes", however I live by the golden fashion rule that there are no rules in fashion and you should always dress for yourself and what you feel comfortable in. I paired the dress with my Ruby Woo lipstick and my  Betsey Johnson platforms seen here.

So what do you ladies think of the dress? Would you wear it??

" Birds of a Feather......"

As most of you can already tell from my posts I am 100% a dress girl all season, and even more so in the hotter months.  Maxi dresses are my favorites.
I found this beautiful dress via one of my FAVORITE  bloggers Folake from Style Pantry.  She wore it in a post here and when I seen it I instantly fell in love! It was a splurge for me because believe it or not I am very frugal when it comes to shopping (except for shoes..LOL ), but when I got it in the mail and tried it on it was so worth it.
Not only do I owe her credit for finding the dress, she is also responsible for saving me $88!!! Every Friday she list online sale items on Facebook and Pinterest and this dress was one that was listed that had finally went on sale! Even though I paid full price I was able to call Nordstrom and they gave me a price adjustment, how awesome it that?!?
I found these sunnies at a vintage store in Georgetown when I was in DC this past fall. This was actually my first time wearing them because I am so addicted to my aviators. I love the 1970's /Jackie O vibe they give. I am definitely going to put them to use this spring and summer.

What do you ladies think about the dress? Was it worth the splurge?

"Blue Flow"

My girlfriend and I went out Saturday night to listen to some music and I snapped a few pictures of what I wore. The weather here has been in the 80's all week so it put me in the mood to pull out my white jeans.
I found this shirt at a local boutique here recently. I am in love with how it is cut in the back. I paired it with my thrifted leather purse first worn as a clutch here

"Eye Wear Chic"

Eyeglasses are just one of the many ways you can accessorize your outfit. I wear prescription eye glasses 80% of the time, but because my fashion sense is always changing  I quickly get tired of the glasses I wear. I currently rotate out a pair of cat eye and black square frames.

I was beyond excited when GlassesUSA.com contacted me about their company and the types of glasses they carry. Since I am in the market for new glasses their timing could not have been more perfect. GlassesUSA.com has an awesome selection of frames at incredibly reasonable prices. Not only do they have a great selection of frames, but you can easily shop for eyeglasses online  from the comfort of your home. Their website uses an awesome "virtual mirror" feature that allows you to upload a picture of yourself and try on the frames you are thinking about getting. I had a ball trying on different frames, however it was hard to make a decision.  I narrowed it down to these four below:
I am really into the "nerd" style glasses. I like the way they shape my face and they are a different look from the cat eye and square frames that I currently wear. Which pair do you think I should go with?

If you are in the market for a new pair of prescription glasses, or even if you don't wear prescription glasses but want a pair of quality stylish frames to accessorize your wardrobe you should definitely order glasses from GlassesUSA.com  They offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee and an awesome selection of stylish frames at GREAT prices!!
Check out their website today and take advantage of these following specials they are running:

  • Take 10% off any order of prescription glasses. Code: Blog10

"Neon"

Although the official change in season from winter to spring isn't until March 20th, here in Atlanta spring has definitely arrived. We have had mid 70's temperatures, flowers and cherry blossoms have bloomed, and I am sneezing! Fashion wise, I have seen a lot of neon, mint, orange, and white colors trending.
I found these neon colored skinny jeans at Forver 21. I actually went to the store to get the mint color, but they were sold out in my size so I picked these up instead.
I know I am color blocking again, but honestly I hate being "matchy matchy" all the time, so the color block thing happens without me even thinking about it. What colors will you ladies be rocking this spring?

"Inspired Look- March"

My celebrity inspired look this month comes from the beautiful Alicia Keys. I love what she wore when she recently performed with Jay at Carnegie Hall, the look was so simple and chic. I had no problem recreating it yesterday for church.
I added a pop of color with my "Ruby Woo" lipstick, handbag, and OPI "Big Apple Red" polish.

"Leopard"

I don't know about you but I am in L-O-V-E with leopard print! I found this dress at my favorite consignment store and wore it to church when my mom was in town visiting. I was going through my pictures and forgot I had taken these to post.
I paired them with my Zebra print Jeffery Campbell Lana platforms.
I guess Bubba decided that he wanted to be in another one of my posts....LOL

And Brady too..LOL. I love these boys so much xoxox

This is my 50th post, Yippee!!. I appreciate all the support from my readers and followers! xoxox

"Stripes and Chucks"

So I decided to take two baby steps outside my fashion comfort zone this weekend. First, by wearing by horizontal stripes and second, combining different colors of the same pattern. I ran across this dress a couple of weeks ago and instantly fell in love with the color and style. You may remember from my spring wish list
Blair from Atlantic Pacific is one of the many awesome bloggers I follow, and she has mastered perfected the art of layering and combining different colors and patterns. I am always inspired by her end result, so  I decided to take a shot at it myself .

I decided to pair the dress with my yellow All Stars. It's crazy because I have about six pairs of these shoes in different colors.....SMH. Chuck Taylors and Vans are definitely my favorite go to sneaker to wear in the spring and summer.

"Perfect Match"

Here are a couple of pictures of what I wore to church on Sunday. My mom found this adorable Calvin Klein dress for me when she was in town a couple of weeks ago. The first thing that came to my mind was how my new Betsy Johnson shoes were such a perfect match! First worn here .
I bought this trench coat from ASOS about four years ago. I love the ruffle detail in the back and how it is so light weight. It's perfect for spring.
