"Fancy June Review"

I ran across this great idea thanks to an article written by Independent Fashion Bloggers and from a adorable blogger I follow named  Roni over at Style and Poise. I decided to summarize each month with a photo collage of  my OOTD posts througout the month.

June was a super hectic month for me. My wardrobe pretty much consisted of gym clothes or my "uniform" that I wear when I am working in the new restaurant we opened, but I did manage to break my bummy rut and transform into my fancy self a few times
The ombre' suit that I wore to The Atlanta Style Bloggers Conference was by far my favorite look of the month. So what about you ladies think, what was your favorite look?

"Thrifted Prints"

It has been so HOT here, but this cotton thrifted wrap dress was perfect for church on Sunday. I found this dress awhile ago and it is actually only my second time wearing it. The dress is so comfortable and lightweight, that it makes it perfect for summer.
I am in L-O-V-E with pretty much every Diane Von Furstenburg dress ever created. The fabric, beautiful patterns, and different styles of her dresses are beyond amazing. When I spotted this dress on the rack,  the pattern immediately reminded me of her dresses. It goes without question that I will splurge on one in the near future.
Living by my statement of trying to avoid always being "matchy matchy" I added a turquoise statement necklace ( first worn here)  and my ever favorite "Miami Green" Jessica Simpson pumps to accessorize my dress.

"Celebrity Inspired Look- June"

This month's celebrity inspired look comes from Ms. Robyn Fenty aka Rihanna. Here she's wearing a Silvano by Alexander Wang sheer black shirt, boyfriend jeans, Giuseppe Zanotti high-top sneakers and a smaller version of the Celine bag I have been coveting for the past six months.
This look was really easy to recreate especially since I was able to incorporate my favorite go to black shirt that I throw on with EVERYTHING.
I also got a chance to pull out some older accessory pieces that I haven't wore in years (purse, necklace, sunnies).
I also got a chance to wear my " Hell Raiser" flats that I love and definitely don't wear as often as I should.
Check out the other celebrity inspired looks I did herehere, and here. How do you ladies think I did with recreating this look?

"Oxford Love"

There is nothing more comfortable and classic than a pair of oxford shoes. I ran across this pair some time ago and immediately fell in love. Some of you may remember them from the spring wish list post I did back in March.
On this day I wore them with a double cold shoulder coral shirt dress that I also found online. The dress is super comfortable but very see through. I had to wear a slip underneath it to make it work, and it was still visible. I honestly would have returned the dress if I had not threw the receipt away...oh wells.
Doubling up on necklaces is a great way to accessorize your pieces. This Nefertiti necklace was my grandmother's and I pretty much wear it everyday with everything as you probably have already noticed...LOL.
I will be starting a new feature every Friday called "Fancy Fridays" beginning in July. I have so many awesome stylish readers and followers that I decided to do something a little different to get to know more about you while using your fashion ideas. Stay tuned.............

"A Sea of Green"

Next to purple I think this sea foam/mint green is one of my favorite colors. I paid a visit to my favorite consignment store in midtown, and lucked up on this vintage dress.
I decided to go for the monochromatic look again, and instead of wearing  pumps, I added a modern touch by wearing my turquoise Litas and favorite belt that my bestie Qrush Velvet gave me.
I like to mix my vintage and thrifted pieces with modern pieces to balance it out. I recommend this to you new thrift and vintage shoppers as well. I do see many stylists and bloggers pull off the 100% thrifted look effortlessly, I however can not....LOL. Nadia Aboulhosn of nadiaaboulhosn.com is a AWESOME example of someone who can rock the heck out of some serious 100% Goodwill pieces

"Double Ombre'"

It has been a CRAZY weekend for me. My roommate and I started a new business that we opened on this past Friday.  It is a no beef, no pork inspired restaurant called Turkey Chop.( I will be doing a separate post later to give you ladies all the details). I also attended the first annual Style Bloggers of Color Conference. Initially I had planned on attending all three days, but my schedule and energy level only allowed me to go to the event on Saturday. I'm so sad that I missed the Sunday brunch with Claire from Fashion Bomb Daily.
I was finally able to wear this amazing pantsuit that I purchased about a month ago from Asos. It was love at first sight when I seen it.
I love the ombre' affect on the pants and jacket. The entire suit is super comfortable and incredibly light weight. It's perfect for spring and cooler summer days.
I added an extra pop of color with my Jessica Simpson pumps and pink clutch the same way I did here.
The conference had some great panelist that gave really good information on how to build your brand, reach out to sponsors and companies, and maintaining good content. I was also able to meet some really awesome bloggers that I follow, and even though I was really tired but I was able to snap a few pictures that I will share with you later this week.

" A Pop of Neon"

The neon trend seems to be continuing from spring into summer, because I am continuing to see it in stores. blogs and magazines. I love color, but can only do the neon hues in small amounts. I can count on one hand how many pieces I have in my wardrobe.
I found this dress last weekend at H&M for dirt cheap. It is super comfortable,  and matches my favorite sandals that I have been wearing to death...LOL
Did I tell you guys how much I am in love with this Forever 21 bag yet? I also have been wearing it to death. It's the perfect size and goes with so much.
Shout out to my hairdresser Huguette for hooking my color and curls up. It finally hit me today that she will be leaving to go on maternity leave in a couple of weeks for two months..**heavy sigh**. Anyway, you can check out my full on neon look I did a couple months back here
I have a super busy weekend ahead with the opening of my new business today and the Atlanta Style Bloggers conference all weekend. I am really to figure out how I am going to do it all...LOL

"Bloggers and Bubbly"

As I promised in Monday's post, here are the pictures from the "Bloggers and Bubbly" event that I attended on last Thursday.
This dress is probably one of my favorite pieces in the store. You ladies already know how I am  a sucker for anything with a cold shoulder.
Mattie chatting with Allison of The Style Pundit
The event was put together by Mattie James founder of Atlanta Style Bloggers, Style Bloggers of Color and Mattieologie . It was an awesome networking event and had a great panel. The panel consisted of Eboni from The Fashionista Next Door , Cathy from Poor Little It Girl, Mattie , and Cath from Asian Cajuns . These ladies gave great insight on blogging and how to effectively create your brand.
The event was held at one of my favorite boutiques Fab'rik of Vinings. You can check out my previous Fab'rik looks I featured on my blog here , here  and here . This weekend The Style Bloggers of Color will be holding their conference here in Atlanta at the W hotel, and I can't wait to go. There is an amazing list of panelist and the keynote speaker will be Claire from Fashion Bomb Daily! It will definitely be an awesome event, and I can't wait to share all the information I get with you ladies.

Once again I want to thank all of you who follow and read my blog! I truly appreciate all of you.

"Pink Boyfriend"

This past Thursday I attended the "Bloggers and Bubbly" event held by The Atlanta Style Bloggers, It was held at  Fab'rick of Vinings (one of my favorite boutiques) and included great networking, an awesome panel of experienced bloggers, and wonderful information for bloggers on how to successfully build your brand. I will post pictures from the event later this week.
I decided to wear my new boyfriend jeans that I recently purchased from ASOS. I finally broke down and bought another pair and my go to Gap ones thanked me a million times over...LOL
I love the wash and the rips, however since I am still in between and 12 and 14 in bottom sizes, the fit of my jeans lately has been inconsistent.  Size 14's are way to big in the waist while 12's are perfect in the waist, but too fitted for my liking in the thighs...Solution: Keeping working to get to my goal size 10.
I have been a huge fan of Melody Ehsani jewelry for a very long time. Her pieces are really one of a kind.
