"Highlighter"

Happy Tuesday, I hope you all had a great weekend. Once again had bipolar weather here in Atlanta, temperatures were barely in the 40's annnnd we had snow flurries...smh. Anyway I got a chance to wear this adorable dress last weekend. Nasty Gal had a phenomenal sale a few weeks back where several items were 50-60% off. If you follow me on Instagram you might remember when I posted the items that I scored.
I paired the dress with my color block Betsey Johnson pumps that I first wore HERE, a leather bomber jacket and some gold chains.
I love gold costume jewelry as you probably have already noticed. I think this Uzi chain is one of my best consignment finds which I first wore HERE. I LOVE it, it totally reminds me of the one Tupac used to wear...LOL!!!!!

"Queen of Hearts"

On Sunday I wore this adorable heart print vintage dress that I found at the thrift store last year. I have so many amazing vintage dresses in my closet that I haven't even had the chance to wear.
I kept the accessories simple by pairing the dress with a skinny gold belt (also thrifted), my black Betsey Johnson platforms and my go to red purse.
There are so many options that I have when I wear this dress because of the different color hearts. I think next time I wear it I will definitely pull out the colors in the dress.
You made it half way through a short week...hang in there!

"24 Karats"

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a more eventful weekend than I did...LOL. I pretty much worked all weekend, but on Sunday I did get a chance to catch up with old friends and wear this AMAZZZING maxi dress.
I
I am a huge fan of Folake from Style Pantry. I have been following her blog forever. She is a true inspiration to me on so many levels (fashion, business, blog, etc). I was beyond excited when she launched her own online store Shoxie because it meant it was another resource to find great fashion at affordable prices, and it was awesome to see my ultimate business goal manifest in someone else who had the same dream!

I almost had a heart attack when I saw her wearing this dress on her recent post and quickly did a cartwheel when I seen that it was available at her online store. I knew in my fashion spirit that this dress was going to sell out FAST so yes I did what ever fashion junkie does...pulled over from driving and ordered it on my phone (**confession I was doing a social media check while waiting at a traffic light**)....LOL

The dress doesn't need much, so I kept my accessories gold and simple. I wore my favorite Queen of the Jungle necklace by Melody Eshani, black Betsey Johnson pumps, and my initial studs.

The dress arrived in two days, and  as you see is everything I expected and more. I love the fit and the length. The only issue I had was I had to pin the top closed because I am busty, other that that perfection!
I am excited that Thanksgiving is Thursday and I am able to fly home to Salt Lake City to visit my family. I can't wait!!! You can also check out the other dress wore that was inspired by Style Panty HERE

"A Blogger Dinner ~ Turkey Chop"

As most of you know my friend and I opened a no beef no pork gourmet grill back in June. Last night we held our "Unveiling of Turkey Chop" blogger dinner where we invited different food/lifestyle bloggers and magazine writers.
Turkey Chop is located at 624 Southside Commercial Parkway in Jonesboro, Georgia. All of the items on our menu are chicken, turkey, fish, or vegetarian.

For dinner we served our guests two of our signature items, The Honey Q'd Turkey Tips, and our Smothered Turkey Chop. We are innovators of both of these items along with the Turkey Short Ribs, and New York Turkey Steak.

Social media at it's best.

Our PR staff from Sky at Twelve Media , myself and my co-owner/BFF/soror/sister.... Ok on to the fashion since this is a personal style blog after all right....LOL.
I am happy that the weather has changed because I FINALLY got a chance to wear this vintage Neiman Marcus dress that I found at my favorite consignment shop about a month a go. A blessing from the fashion Gods indeed seeing as it is not only a size 10 (whoop) but it was brand spanking new. It still had the original price tags on it and everything!!!!!! Now if I can get these hips in a size 10 pair of jeans I will be home free...LOL. I wish I could've gotten a better picture of the studded and rhinestone details on the collar and sleeve. The dress is truly amazing!

Instead of carbonated drinks we serve four signature drinks that are made fresh daily, Iced Tea, Peach Lemonade, Strawberry Lemonade, Jamaican Punch, and our Obama and First Lady drink.

Our founder and business partner Quentin Love giving an overview of the history of Turkey Chop and our restaurant's mission which is to bring awareness to healthy eating to our neighborhoods by introducing them to a healthier form of fast food.

"Prints"

I am in love with prints especially animal ones. Trending right now is mixing different colors, patterns and prints. There are several bloggers I follow that have mastered this technique, I however and still perfecting it. I play around with things in my closet, however when I step in front of the mirror my outfits just don't seem to translate as well on my frame as they do when I lay them out or when they are hanging in my closet.

One print that I love and wear confidently is leopard. In my fashion rule book, you can NEVER go wrong with leopard. Since my hair is dirty and I am too lazy to wash it and myself, I wore this zebra and leopard print scarf all weekend. I loved the combination of prints so I decided to do the same thing with a pair of Betsey Johnson leggings and my Jeffery Campbell platforms.
It's so funny because I bought these shoes about a year ago and HATED them. They are super comfortable, but I felt like Frankenstein when I wore them. I really had to get used to the width of the platform, but needless to say I am glad I kept them because I am in LOVE with them now.
So do you ladies love leopard print as much as I do?

"Coral Flow"

One of my favorite summer colors next to mint green is coral. Also lately I've been really drawn to dipped hem shirts and dresses. I wear this shirt all the time and really can't believe this is the first OOTD post I have done in this shirt.
I was able to finally wear this adorable necklace that I won on a giveaway from Ari at Good Time Girl Accessories . I also won two adorable pair of earrings that I also can't wait to wear and share with you guys.
Even though I wasn't in a heel mood I decided to go ahead and pull out these coral Betsey Johnson pumps that I first wore here. These shoes are so comfortable that I went ahead and purchased the black ones that I wore here.
The expression on my face is definitely consistent with how I  have been feeling lately. So much on my mind and super stressed=/. I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! Don't forget to send in your pictures for Fancy Fridays.

"Neon Skater"

I bought my first skater dress and decided to wear it this weekend. It was on sale for super cheap on ASOS so I decided to go ahead and get it even though I wasn't to sure about the tulip bottom. I love the colors and color block however I am not feeling the fit of this particular dress. I honestly feel like it adds volume to an area of my body that absolutely needs NO extra volume...LOL.
Nevertheless I was pleased with the accessories I chose and how I put it together so I decided to go ahead and post the pictures. =0/. My second pair of Badacious earrings matched perfectly.
I love dresses but I think I am going to stick to  my regular peplum, bodycon, or maxi dress style. I  am going to add this beautiful one to the "Shop Fancy Curves Closet" to sale.

"Kimono Sunday"

I snapped pictures of this kimono style dress to church on Sunday. Lately I have been trying to make a conscience effort to wear the clothes that I have in my four..(yes four) closets and to not buy anything new for at least a month. Doug says that I am a clothes hoarder, and at first I was offended when he said it, but the more I think about it, he may be right.
I bought this dress from Victoria's Secret about three years ago and the last time I wore it was in 2009 when I went to my school's homecoming. It is so comfortable and I am still in love with the length and flow of the dress.
I paired it with my coral Betsey Johnson pumps that I first wore here.

"Peplum Sisters"

I hope everyone had a fantastic Easter weekend! I wanted to share what my roommate and I wore on Easter Sunday. I absolutely LOVE, helping people put looks together and giving styling advice,so when my roommate asked me to help her finish her Easter look I was all in.
We bought our dresses at seperate times, but as you can see peplum and pastels were both on our mind.
I think one of my favorite ways to accesorize, next to colored nail polish is combining brooches.
