"Rock the Bells"

There are so many fall trends that I am in love with right now, but I think the one that is at the top of my list are studs. They are so versatile and can add that edgy look to your pieces without over doing it. I found this faux leather jacket at Forever 21 over the weekend for less than $40 bucks. I was actually trying on a shirt in the dressing room and noticed them on a rack in the back with other items that they had not put out to sale yet. I quickly grabbed one because I know as soon as these hit the floor they are going to be gone very quickly.
I decided to keep the edgy theme by pairing it with my ripped jeans, cross T and my new Jeffery Campbell platforms that I am in L-O-V-E with.
The details on the back of these shoes is amazing, and believe it or not these shoes are incredibly comfortable. They are EXTREMELY high, but the platform makes them easy to walk in. So what are your favorite fall trends? Do you love studs as much as I do?

"Mint"

Can you believe that we are in the last week of September? I am excited that we are officially in fall, however I'm taking advantage of the awesome sandal weather we have been having lately. On Sunday I met my fellow shopaholic, blogger, and fashionista Neshanta from Style is She for brunch.  We enjoyed a delicious super heavy carbohydrate brunch while discussing what else, fashion, life, and our shopping addictions...LOL

The weather could not have been more perfect! I wore this comfortable pleated dress that I purchased from Forever 21 a couple of months ago. The dress is so flowy and comfortable. I am really kicking myself that I didn't purchase the lilac one as well.

I want to ask you all a question that NeShanta and I discussed at brunch. As a blogger do you find that you are a bigger shopaholic now than before you began blogging?

"Blogger Dinner"

As I mentioned on yesterday I attended the "Blogger is the New Entrepreneur" dinner hosted by Talking with Tami with special guest Mimi Faust from Love and Hip Hop Atlanta. It was an awesome well put together event that allowed local bloggers to network and discuss to key steps in turning your blog into a successful business.
The lychee martini I had was perfection!!
Miso soup, Spring Rolls and Ginger Chicken
Tami, Mimi Faust from Love and Hip Hop Atlanta and Tanya Tibbs inventor of The V Bar.

There were five pictures taken at once as you see I was looking at what I thought was my camera...LOL.

Ok seriously how beautiful is Mimi?  She was so sweet, down to earth and authentic. Oh did I mention tiny......LOL
Overall the event was a great experience. For more pictures, video, and a recap on the topics discussed visit Talking with Tami's website here. You can also check out my OOTD  post for this event here.

"Tartan"

Last night I attended a bloggers event hosted by the fabulous  Talking with Tami. I finally broke my all black rut by wearing this amazing tartan print pantsuit that I found online. I have to admit that I stepped outside my comfort zone with this number, but I'm glad I did because I absolutely love it!

My only complaint about this fabric is that it's heavier than most fabrics, so it is not as fluid and it adds volume to your frame, which means in my case it falls in the  "doesn't photograph well"side of my closet. Luckily in person it is amazing.

I paired it with my favorite Melody Eshani necklace, red purse and my color block shoes that I first wore here.
I had a wonderful time at the dinner and even got a chance to meet Mimi Faust from Love and Hip Hop Atlanta. I will post the pictures from the dinner on Thursday. Happy hump day, smile you made it.

"Prints"

I am in love with prints especially animal ones. Trending right now is mixing different colors, patterns and prints. There are several bloggers I follow that have mastered this technique, I however and still perfecting it. I play around with things in my closet, however when I step in front of the mirror my outfits just don't seem to translate as well on my frame as they do when I lay them out or when they are hanging in my closet.

One print that I love and wear confidently is leopard. In my fashion rule book, you can NEVER go wrong with leopard. Since my hair is dirty and I am too lazy to wash it and myself, I wore this zebra and leopard print scarf all weekend. I loved the combination of prints so I decided to do the same thing with a pair of Betsey Johnson leggings and my Jeffery Campbell platforms.
It's so funny because I bought these shoes about a year ago and HATED them. They are super comfortable, but I felt like Frankenstein when I wore them. I really had to get used to the width of the platform, but needless to say I am glad I kept them because I am in LOVE with them now.
So do you ladies love leopard print as much as I do?

"Black"

Yes it's hump day!! We are half way through the week and I couldn't be happier. On Monday I stopped and snapped pictures of what I wore to a radio interview/ guest spot I had to do for my new business venture. If you been following me, you already know that my best friend and I opened a no beef no pork inspired gourmet grill in June called Turkey Chop.

My schedule is very hectic, so during the week I am typically in scrubs (since I am a speech therapist full time), or workout clothes. The only opportunity I get to wear regular clothes is on the weekend, so with that being said I don't waste any opportunity to wear my "street clothes".

For some strange reason when fall comes rolling around I switch in to my "black" mode. I either rock all black, or black and white consistently. I am really going to make a conscience effort to change it up this season.
I have been coveting these Jeffery Campbell studded cross boots for about two months. I decided to go ahead and treat myself and I am so glad I did, the shoes are amazing!!!!!! So what about you guys. Have you found yourself in any fashion ruts lately?

"Break the Rules"

The first rule of fashion is there are no rules and the second rule is to break the ones that do exist. With that being said I wore white jeans six days after Labor Day in honor of the "no white after Labor Day" rule.

There are limitless ways to wear white all season long. On yesterday I keep it simple by pairing it with a chambray shirt, my Jeffery Campbell Lanas and some serious neck candy. I am really getting my Mr. T on......LOL. A great way to wear white in the fall or winter is to incorporate a warm or neutral hues. I did so by adding my burgundy clutch.

So what's your position on the "no white after Labor Day" rule? Breaking it, or sticking to it?

"Green"

This outfit is probably one of the most comfortable outfits I own. I first wore these pleated wide legged pants here. The person behind the camera gave me two thumbs down on this outfit, but oh well opinions are like *@#$ right, everyone has one...LOL
I swear these clutches from Asos are perfect so much so that I bought all three colors ( blue, orange, and green). Check out the cobalt blue one I wore here. They are a great size to carry everything and add that perfect pop of color to your outfit.

"Classic"

I don't think there is anything more classic than a pair of black high waisted trousers. I found this pair yearrrrrs ago at TJ Maxx. I have had them taken in twice because I love the fit and cut so much, and because it is so hard to find a good pair of high waisted slacks.
I paired them with a graphic T and opted to wear brooches instead of a belt to accessorize the look. Also taking advice from a one of my readers I decided not to throw in the towel on neon just yet and still incorporate it into my fall looks.
If you follow me on Instagram, you are already aware that I am beyond obsessed with my "Queen of the Jungle" necklace from Melody Eshani. I have been a huge fan of her jewlery for quite some time and actually first rocked the earrings awhile sometime ago here and here. The necklace is definitely a statement piece.

"Fancy August Review"

I can not believe it is already September, where did the summer go?? I can definitely say that my summer was beyond crazy, but not in a good way. I am definitely looking forward to a new season, figuratively and literally. Here are the looks that I wore last month. My favorite look hands down is the red and white striped peplum dress that I wore from Asos( on sale here for $30!!!) This look was actually featured on Alissa from Stylish Curves Tumblr as the "Stylish Curves of the Day" I appreciate all the love, reblogs and compliments I received.  I also want to thank my sweet Dougie for his amazing photography skills on that post.

So what was your favorite look?
