"Colorful Hump Day"

On Wednesday night I went to dinner to celebrate my employee's 21st bday and this is what I wore.

As you can probably tell  from many of my posts I am in love with bright colors and wear them all season long. 

As we close 2011 and I reflect I can't help but get emotional when I think about how much God has blessed me and how awesome He is. NEVER in a million years would I have thought I would move from employee to employer. He has kept me, my family, my friends,  my business covered, and is continuing to bless me above and abundantly in ways that just  blow my mind. 2011 has had challenges and there have been days where the  little black cloud lingers above my head a little longer than normal, but one thing is for certain, It always passes or He gives me the strength to make it through.

I have only been up for a little over a month and the support that I have received has been wonderful. Dogs, I have a eight year old Shih Tzu named Bubba. I HATE cats.

I used to wear a size 18/20 and have lost almost 40lbs.

"Denim Mini"

The weather in Atlanta has been so crazy! One day its 73 degrees and sunny and  the next day it's in the 40's or raining heavy. It was nice during the Christmas weekend so I was able to wear this denim mini dress.

I've had it for awhile, but thought it was a little too short for my liking to be worn casually, so I decided to pair it with some tights.

I am so sad to say that we have only  3 more days in 2011 and this is the first time I have carried this purse this year. I bought it about for years ago. It was my very first "grown woman handbag" purchase. I worked really hard to save for it,but now rarely carry it because it is just so big and deep, it's just not as functional as my other large bags.. Still love it though because it's a classic.

"Turquoise Love"

For Christmas this year I treated myself to a new pair of JC's! You may remember these beauties from my shoe wish list post I did a few weeks ago.

I wear my other Litas  to death, so I was beyond excited when these arrived in the mail. The Lita is the greatest shoe made!! They are soooo comfortable, an amazing height, and go with absolutely everything..what more could a girl ask for?

My ABSOLUTE favorite nail color in the world next to black and white is this color from Essie called "Mint Candy Apple" I wear it so much that I actually had to take a break from it...LOL. But the arrival of my new shoes made me go right back to my old faithful  polish.

"Leopard and Pleates"

I was going through my computer and found these pics that I forgot to post. I found these super comfortable pleated pants at Forever 21 about 2 weeks ago.

As much as I love and prefer heels, some days my feet need a serious break.  I wore this outfit on one of those days where I felt like dressing up sans the 5 inch heels.

I have had these shoes for about 3 years I call them my " MJ's" they are the perfect dress down shoe!

"Rainbow Brite"

As you all know I am a certified thrift store junkie, with that being said about 50% of my closet are thirfted finds. I found this Tahari pleated mini skirt at a Goodwill about a few months ago. I LOVE bright colors so I paired it with this blouse (also thrifted). When I saw this shirt the first thing that I thought of was Rainbow Brite...LOL. I was so in love with her and Strawberry Shortcake as a little girl.

I can't believe Christmas is in five days and the end of 2011 is in 11 days!! Really where did the year go??

"Inspired Look-December"

In an effort to be creative and wear all the clothes in my closet I decided to do an "Inspired Look" each month where I use a celebrity and try to recreate the outfit with items in my own closet. This month I chose one of my favorite artists in the entire world ( next to her hubby of course...LOL) Ms. Beyonce Knowles - Carter.

"Mixed Patterns"

I finally got a chance to wear this adorable vintage dress to church yesterday. At first I put it on with a black booties.It was safe ,but it didn't move me. I then tried on these leopard pumps and I loved how they looked. I don't like how these shoes look like they are to big for me when I wear them with tights but oh well. I really wanted to share the pics of the dress.

A girl who takes spin classes with me has a  store in Little Five Points called Recycled Couture. It's located in the Bazaar warehouse. She has some beautiful and extremely reasonable priced vintage pieces. If you are into vintage dresses,accessories, etc, and live in the Atlanta area you should definitely check her store out, you won't be disappointed!

"My Favorite Color"

I went to H&M this past weekend to return a shirt and like my typical self I can never stick to the agenda and walk in and walk out of a store without browsing...SMH. Anyway the end result was a purchase of this dress and another adorable purple dress with pleats.  I am trying to figure out how to"winter remix it" and wear it since it has spaghetti straps. Maybe you ladies can help???

I bought these Steve Madden shoes about 2 months ago and absolutely love them!!

I guess it is pretty obvious what my favorite color is right?...LOL

I need you ladies help! What are your suggestions on how to rock this dress in the colder climates??
