"Montego Bay"

I am physically but not mentally back from Jamaica. I had an amazing time and I wanted to share a few pictures that I took. To be completely honest I was in such a relaxation zone that taking pictures was the furthest thing from my mind, but I did manage to capture a few......
I stayed at the Iberostar Rose Hall Grand Hotel, which in my opinion is the BEST resort on the island. It is completely all inclusive, adult only, ocean front suites, and premium everything. I first stayed here back in December 2010.
Honestly I only captured a bird's eye view of how gorgeous the resort is, my pictures barely do it justice.
Last time I was here I did everything, climbed Dunn's River, swam with dolphins, a jeep safari tour, so this time the only thing we did was drive dune buggies through the mud in the outskirts of  Montego Bay. I enjoyed it even though I was functioning on two hours of sleep....smh

I can say this time while here we really got it in...LOL. Our friends showed us such an awesome time!!! We went to the touristy night club on Thursday night, but for the remaining nights we went to REAL Jamaica and expereinced the local parties that last until 7am.......GREAT TIMES INDEED!!!!:0)
I hate I didn't document my OOTD looks more thoroughly, but I was just not in the picture taking posing mood, my fellow bloggers I am sure you can relate where I am coming from...LOL. Here are a couple of old faithful bathroom/instagram pictures I took. My favorite look had to be the peplum catsuit with clear front panel in the upper right hand side.

"Yellow Chucks"

It's around 11:00pm and I am supposed to leave in the morning for Jamaica. I haven't packed a single article of clothing, but I am blogging..smh. Anyway I snapped a few pictures of what I wore today when I ran out to run errands. I wanted to be super comfortable,so my yellow chucks definitely did the trick.
I wear this graphic T to death..LOL, and believe it or not I am truly a fan of the band. Growing up in Utah I was exposed to all cultures and types of music. I went through a hard rock phase in 5th and 6th grade. Metallica, Guns N Roses, Def Leopard, Poison, I loved them all! I quickly grew out of it and transitioned into hardcore rap real quick...LOL
Thank you ladies so much for supporting my blog and following me. I truly appreciate you.  I can't wait to share my pictures with you. Please pray and keep your fingers crossed that Hurricane Issac doesn't ruin my vacay!

"Romantic"

I paid a visit to a couple of my favorite consignment/vintage shops this weekend and stumbled upon this adorable pleated skirt with lace detail. Even though the skirt is too big for me I bought it anyway. I felt $12 was really too much of a steal to leave it on the rack.
I pinned the skirt in the back and covered it up by adding a belt. I have had this lace shirt for yeaaaars. It was a perfect match to help me create an illusion of a dress until I can take the skirt to my alterations lady and have it taken it.
This skirt is super sheer despite having a built in slip. As you see even with the black slip I added it is still very see through.
What better way to complete a "romantic" type look than with a classic pair of Chanel earrings.
I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. I super excited because I will be leaving on Thursday to go to Jamaica for five days **turning cartwheels**. I have literally been working seven days straight since May, so this vacation is so overdue and needed!

"Perfectly Said......"

All my fellow fashionistas know that every now and then you will run across that one shoe, or article of clothing that you feel was made just for you.  Well, when I stumbled upon this graphic T it was definitely one of those moments.

I actually found this shirt about three years ago at a kiosk in the mall. I paired it with my ripped jeans which I recently found at Forever 21 and the ombre' blazer that goes with my suit that I wore here.
I have to admit that I am a little over the neon trend and can only take it in small doses, but I couldn't pass by these comfy BCBG kitten heel pumps that I found at TJ Maxx recently.
Love this four finger "Black Girls Rock" ring that I first wore here
How do you ladies feel about the neon trend? Are you over it, or still loving it?

"Red Stripes"

As you can probably can tell I am obsessed with anything peplum. Peplum dresses and shirts are flattering to different body types which makes this trend versatile for all sizes.
I found this adorable dress online a couple of weeks ago and couldn't resist. I was hesitant at first because I thought that the stripes might make my big hips look even bigger, LOL but the dress was actually very forgiving.
I love red and white together, but for some reason I always get stuck when trying to figure out what color to wear. I always go for the turquoise green first seen here
I decided to keep my accessories simple since the color and stripes were so bold.
What about you ladies? Do you love the peplum trend as much as I do? Check out some of my other peplum looks here and here

"Blue Stripes"

One of the few benefits of moving is you get a chance to thoroughly go through your closet and find pieces that you forgot you had, or that you haven't wore in a very long time.
I ran across this dress that I bought from my favorite consignment store with the tag still on it. I usually don't wear neutral colors, but I love the navy stripes and cut of this dress. I paired it with my favorite burgundy Tahari clutch that I first wore here and a pair of camel color peep toe pumps that I also found tags and all while cleaning out my closet...smh.
While cleaning out my closet I had an realization that I may be a borderline clothes hoarder..LOL. Are any of you ladies in the same boat as me??

"Zebra & Chains"

I hope everyone had a relaxing weekend. Mine was super busy as always, but I am proud to say that I did get a chance to unpack two out of the five wardrobe boxes that my clothes were packed in **Yippee**. (side note: Do you see how my toes coordinate with my dress? What an awesome fashion coincidence...LOL)
I found this adorable Zebra print dress last week at H&M  for dirt cheap when I was shopping with my niece. It is super comfortable and was the easiest thing I could find to throw on to run errands and  go to the movies.
I've had this purse for about six years now, I think it is one of the best finds I have ever purchased from TJ Maxx.
I want to say thank you to each and everyone of you who read my blog. I truly appreciate you. As crazy as my life is, "Fancy Curves" is the one thing that feeds my spirit, and it is something that I truly love and have a passion for. Thank you so much for supporting me=0)!

"Fancy July Review"

I really can not believe today is August 1st and the summer is just about over. Time is really flying, but to be quite honest, I am A-OK with it because I am over this heat and ready to wear my fall wardrobe.I don't about you, but fall is my favorite season in general and also my favorite season to dress for. Here is a collage of my OOTD posts for the month of July. I think for this month my favorite look was "Coral Flow".

What about you ladies? What was your favorite look and what is your favorite season to dress for?
xoxo
