"Polka Dots and Peplum"

I went out with a girlfriend on Saturday night and wore this peplum vintage dress. Peplum dresses and skirts are trends that I love, and also one that is great for curvy girls! This style is very forgiving and when added with a belt it really gives an hour glass type look.

Happy Monday and I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!

Glamour Magazine Feature

Super excited about my feature in Glamour Magazine this week! I frequent their site often and look at the Best Dressed Reader feature weekly and never seen a "curvy" girl until this week...LOL. I am honored that they picked my look and had such positive things to say. You can see the entire feature Here, and see the look from the post I did early this month Here

"Nude Pleates & Spikes"

I love my curves and TRY my best to keep them as tone as possible. I actually love to workout, but unfortunately love food more...LOL .I usually spin 3-4 times a week with a group here called KTX Fitness. This past Saturday it was KTX's customer appreciation party and this is what I wore.

I almost had a heart attack when I seen these nude spiked version of the JC Night Walkers...there was absolutely no question that I had to have them!!
Here are some of the girls I spin with and our instructor Keith Thompson ( KT of the KTX Fitness)
Love, love, love this picture of my roommate, our spin instructor Keith and I.  The "X" in KTX stands for extreme. The form of cycling that we do is much more intense and fun than your typical spin class. Check the video below to see how we get down!!! If you live in the Atlanta area check out the website Here, and come join us for a class I guarantee you will love it!!! I will even buy you lunch if you don't #CONFIDENT

I am on the right with a black scarf on my head, pink backpack on my bike, next to Rosemary (white girl).

"Chip (the tiger) On My Shoulder"

Last weekend the weather was so beautiful that I was able to wear this capri jumpsuit that I haven't wore in forever. I found this dope tiger brooch at a vintage store about 3 weeks ago.
I've had this jumpsuit for so long. Since I wear such tall shoes most of the time it started to "flood " on me, so I took it to my alterations lady and had her make it into capris. I think the outcome looked better than the original pantsuit.

"Inspired Look- January"

This month my "Celebrity Inspired Look" comes from Kim Kardashian. Kim along with her sisters and mom are at the top of my "fashion inspiration" list. Their stylist Monica Rose is definitely a beast! Say what you will about Kim but the girl is ALWAYS together  flawless. I wonder how the heck she does it?!?.LOL
Since I am ALWAYS in loud colors, I thought this would be a good look to try. I have never mixed neutrals, but I think the combination of colors is so clean and chic.

This purse is about four years old, and it has been three years since I have even used it!..SMH

I absolutely love doing these inspired looks every month!! It really gives me a chance to try new things and most importantly use things in my closet that have just been sitting there forever.

"Spring Time in January"

On Friday after work I stopped by my favorite resale/consignment store in midtown and found this beautiful  AMAZING vintage Neiman Marcus dress. My excitement to wear it, coupled with the nice weather, coupled with yesterday being my sorority's 104th anniversary, made it perfect for church yesterday.

This belt buckle was a consignment find. I found it with many other great pieces at a consignment store I go to all the time at home with my mom called Consignment Circuit.
I swear it really is a beautiful thing when people clean out their closets!!

I hope everyone is enjoying their day off on today. I'm doing paperwork and then going to look at some possible retail spaces for my boutique I want to open. Trying to live by Dr. King's "Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the entire staircase"  I swear this is so prophetic to my life right now.

"Tripod Friday"

In an effort to try and capture more of my looks I bought a tripod on last weekend. I decided to test drive it and my new camera that my mommy got me for Christmas. Unfortunately I only see my regular photog Sam once a week on the weekends, so to eliminate the frustration of not having someone to take my pictures on my schedule and fashion mood, a tripod was the best answer.
It was a super dress down casual Friday for me so I just snapped a few pics of what I wore when I ran out to  get  a mani/pedi.....

I got the idea to add a strap from one of my purses to my large Gucci hobo to make it more functional and it worked. I got the idea from one of the many amazing bloggers I follow Atlantic Pacific. In one of her posts she transformed her hobo the exact same way....awesome idea!!!

I hope everyone has a great three day weekend!!! xoxoxox

"Printed Cape"

A popular trend seen this fall and winter are capes. I found this one on sale  two months ago and love it! It is so warm and cozy. I have only been able to wear it once here in Atlanta because it hasn't been that cold, but it was absolutely perfect when I went home to Utah in December, so it got plenty of wear there.

I love the combination of different patterns and the leather trimmed pockets!
