"Fancy Friday" ~ Happy Feet

To add some variety I decided to change my original "Fancy Friday" idea. Instead of recreating outfits of pictures you send in Fancy Fridays post will be a garden variety of different topics. I will have my favorite recipes, different features, and trending posts that will in some way be food for your fashion soul...LOL. Today I wanted to share with you a couple of my high heel pain releaving secrets.
My first must have are these AMAAAAAAZING insoles made by Dr. Scholls. Like most of you ladies the pain that we start to experience half way through the night is at the ball of our feet. Nothing will ruin your night quicker than the balls of your feet feeling like they are on fire! These plush insoles have saved my life. They come in one size, but are made so that you can trim them down to the size you need.
I have Dr. Scholl's insoles in all four of these shoes. These insoles allow me to wear these shoes for hours without any discomfort. I am extremely flat footed so these insoles are a life saver in ALL my shoes.
The second item that I have in my high heel tool box are Moleskin padding also known as second skin. I use second skin to prevent getting corns and to prevent the small one that I have from getting any bigger. I simply cut a small piece and wrap them around my two end toes on both of my feet. This provides a protective covering on your skin for when you shoes start to rub at the end of the night.
I wear high heels 75% of the time, so comfort is extremely important to me. One thing that I realized is no matter how comfortable the shoe is at the beginning of the night. After walking or dancing for a few hours, my feet begin to naturally swell (it happens in tennis shoes as well) causing them to sometimes begin rubbing against my shoe. This second skin is a life saver!!!

I hope this info was helpful to you ladies. What are some the remedies you use to make walking in platforms and high heels less painful??

  1. Daaaaaang you wear heels 75% of the time. Im the opposite. I wear mine about 25% of the time. I just can't do it. Good tips though. I never even thought to do this even though it seems pretty obvious! LOL

  4. Nice tips! I wear insoles too because that pain is no joke! When I'm rushing and forget to insert them before work, I am kicking myself by the end of the day. I never thought about wearing the second skin ones as a preventative measure though. I might have to try that! Thanks!

  6. Thanks for those tips. I use dr. scholls comfort inserts sometimes, but those you listed I will surely give a try. I'm not a big heels wearer, and this might just help to change that (^.~)

  8. This is great! I used Dr. Scholl's gel soles this week in my boots to keep my feet from slipping (I have a very narrow heel). They made such a difference!
