"The Art of Layering"

Since my favorite fashion season is finally here, I wanted to share some images that have given me inspiration to do one of my favorite things during the fall and winter months.....layering. Layering is the best way to mix patterns, put to use all the amazing scarves and tights you have, and of course the most important, transition some of my favorite spring and summer pieces into my fall and winter wardrobe. I am sure most of your follow Blair from Atlantic Pacific, and will agree with me when I say that hands down she has MASTERED this technique!

 I absolutely love how she not only layered theses pieces, but also mastered mixing camo, stripes, and leather...PERFECTION!

"Polka Dots"

One thing I love about blogging and following other bloggers is the fashion inspiration. I see so many great ideas and images that really help me be more creative in remixing items that I have in my closet. Something that I have been trying to do lately is being more bold with prints and patterns during the fall and winter. As I already shared with you, during these seasons I get stuck in a rut of black and white, and black, black and more black...ugh!

I recently purchased this sweater from Forever 21. I was just going to throw it on with a white tank top underneath, but decided to be a more fun and layer it with another polka dot blouse and scarf that I've had forever.

 Did I mention how much I am in love with Jeffery Campbell's shoes?? I am already thinking about what new color Lita I want to add to my collection for fall.
